City officials coming to Northeast High on Monday to talk energy efficiency

The Philadelphia Energy Authority will celebrate the $100 million in projects launched in the first two years of the Philadelphia Energy Campaign at an event at Northeast High School on Monday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m.

The Philadelphia Energy Campaign is investing $1 billion in energy efficiency and clean energy with a goal of creating 10,000 jobs by 2026. Monday’s event will also spotlight the energy makeover underway at Northeast High School.

Among those on hand will be Mayor Jim Kenney, City Council President Darrell Clarke, School District of Philadelphia Superintendent William Hite and Emily Schapira, executive director of the Philadelphia Energy Authority.
